Persecution continues in Vietnam

Despite some good news from Vietnam the persecution of Christians in the central highlands continues, according to cooperation partners of Friends of the Martyred Churches. During the last few months a number of churches have, again, been closed down and several pastors have been arrested. Despite international protests the authorities continue to harass people, in particular the hmong-tribe. This tribe sided largely with the USA in the Vietnam war and has always taken an independent stand against the authorities in Hanoi. At the same time there is a strong revival within the tribe. This has caused the authorities to draw up a strategy on how to root out Christianity in the area. Our sisters and brothers in Vietnam sincerely ask for our continued prayers.
